Dear Sandra:
Do you remember the night at Sambuca's, when you were singing "Don't Go To Strangers," when all of a
sudden in the middle of the song, at a particularly touching moment, we, the audience, stood en mass,
for a standing ovation? I still remember. Of course you wouldn't, because you've had too many nights
like that. It's a memory that will live with me forever. I've many memories like that with you. I hope to
have many more. Well, I've got to get ready for work, but we'll talk soon.
Much Love,
Andres Boiarsky

"If you were not at the Arts center in Mesquite Friday night you missed a wonderful concert. Our own Miss Sandra Kaye was much into the music. Accompanied by the masterful Arlington Jones and the Mesquite Jazz Repertory Ensemble under the direction of Curt Bradshaw. Sandra flirted and wooed the audience with a medley of songs as only she can do. After all she does have her standards."

Hey Sandra, THANK YOU for an excellent, heart throbbing performance. Not only was the voice in the pocket, but you looked MARVELOUS!!! That rendition of "You Go To My Head" was too much, as was the entire book that you sang. When you autographed my copy of your CD, I recall you saying that you didn't have a pressing for yourself; it was my pleasure finding one for you. I also have recordings that are intangible, it hurts. Anyway, when is your next performance? I WANT TO HEAR MORE! Lionel

Hey Girl....I thought of you today when The Drifters song " Up on the Roof " came on the radio...in fact, you come to mind whenever I hear that song. You used to sing it often at the Hideaway. I miss those days of hearing you perform and watching you move the audience with your musical-magical charms. Be well, honey...best wishes for you always...XOXO

Hi Sandra:
Just a short note to convey my appreciation for your wonderful performance at the MJRE Concert. I just listened to the CD and thoroughly enjoyed it. Your rendition of the selections was authoritative (if I may say so). I don't get the full effect of the songs when I am concentrating on my parts. So, the recording really allowed me to listen to the fine musician you are. I will be listening to and extolling your wonderful gift.
Thanks,
Javier

Thanks for a wonderful evening of music last week at the Mesquite Performance Hall. I really enjoyed your performance. Some things just get better and you were in rare form that evening. I could tell you were enjoying it yourself. You have that style that is often missed today. Great performance and thank you for your voice, style and flair.

What do you do with sixteen guys and one girl? Make music.
And thats what happened at the Mesquite Performance Hall last week.
I was fortunate to be there and see SK take the stage backed by a sixteen piece band. a beautiful lady with a wonderful voice.
SK induced those guys to swing with everything they had. I am always amazed in how she commands the stage and make it seem so intimate. Great performance.

I must say that I was not disappointed because you are so intellectual and beautiful just like your mother was...smile. she was one of my best friends and we always laughed about old times. Well, as you know I have much to say about how thrilled I am about being at the Family Reunion with you . Thank you for the time that you spent with me sharing your intents about placing our family pictures on your web site. We are leaving Big 'D' this weekend. Keep singing...you have a beautiful voice. an international star. You certainly deserve success, and I am very proud of you. America's
loss is China's gain. Here's wishing you much continued success.
I have been teaching and playing a few really good gigs this year, that is as good as a gig can
get in Dallas. Otherwise things are going pretty well. I will share the news of your adventures
in China with others who know you.
Let's do stay in touch.
All the best,
Roger
Brian Poissant: Shout out to Joe McBride
May 29, 2007
Joe McBride. the name still haunts me from my days at Webster University. He is an amazing talent, and I tried desperately to keep up with his playing, style, and love for people and music.
I was in the Theatre department at Webster University, but had been playing Jazz Piano for most of my Jr. and Sr. High school years. It was at Webster, in the mid-80's where I would work in the recording studio, and practice piano in the basement of the Music house where he taught me that music was not a competition, but an enjoyment. Being brought up on Bobby Militelo, SpyroGyra, and the whole Western NY jazz scene, I was constantly berating myself as a musician. Joe, in a single sentence, taught me that it wasn't how "Good" you where in comparison (in this case to himself) but how much you enjoy the music you play.
I am now in the computer industry, and to this day remember the days he allowed me to play on the Juno synth, and hang with him. He is the greatest influence I had in my short-lived musical career...and the reason I enjoy playing (for myself and friends) to this day.
