Sandra,

let me start off by saying how thoroughly I enjoyed this Friday night
and your performance at Jazz Wine Cigar in XinTianDi. Loved it! The
same holds when I listen to your CD - great stuff!

So, naturally, I would like you to keep me updated on any upcoming
opportunities to see you perform in Shanghai again in the next weeks
and months. I shall stay here until late October and might have a
company function or two coming up where I might get back to you for
enriching our evening with some great Jazz music, if you don't mind.

Hope to hear from you, enjoy Shanghai and see you sometime soon again.

Hi Sandra Kaye,

The people enjoying your performances over there in Shanghai, China are so blessed to have you in their midst. Although we speak practically everyday, I still miss you more than words can express and I anxiously await your return home. Take good care of yourself and continue to shine like the beautiful diamond we all love and look forward to behold.

P.S. I guess I'll just hop on a plane and come there to enjoy your beautiful gift of song.

Sandra,
I am so happy to hear from you also, and so soon. It's good to know that you are doing so well
in China. I know that you have also worked in Turkey and other places. You have truly become
an international star. You certainly deserve success, and I am very proud of you. America's
loss is China's gain. Here's wishing you much continued success.
I have been teaching and playing a few really good gigs this year, that is as good as a gig can
get in Dallas. Otherwise things are going pretty well. I will share the news of your adventures
in China with others who know you.
Let's do stay in touch.
All the best,
Roger

Brian Poissant: Shout out to Joe McBride

May 29, 2007

Joe McBride. the name still haunts me from my days at Webster University. He is an amazing talent, and I tried desperately to keep up with his playing, style, and love for people and music.
I was in the Theatre department at Webster University, but had been playing Jazz Piano for most of my Jr. and Sr. High school years. It was at Webster, in the mid-80's where I would work in the recording studio, and practice piano in the basement of the Music house where he taught me that music was not a competition, but an enjoyment. Being brought up on Bobby Militelo, SpyroGyra, and the whole Western NY jazz scene, I was constantly berating myself as a musician. Joe, in a single sentence, taught me that it wasn't how "Good" you where in comparison (in this case to himself) but how much you enjoy the music you play.
I am now in the computer industry, and to this day remember the days he allowed me to play on the Juno synth, and hang with him. He is the greatest influence I had in my short-lived musical career...and the reason I enjoy playing (for myself and friends) to this day.

Sooner than later in Jesus name we shall meet through your husband, Debo that nice man of God. Please note it, both of you are about to experience another joyful level in your matrimony. Amen.

Hi Sandra,

I am a friend of Debo and lover of Jazz music. I was made to understand you are currently on tour in China. I logged into your site and I'm very impressed. This made me send you this little message. I wish you all the best in your endeavors and God's Blessings. I hope to meet you one day. In the mean time I will be listening to your Jazz music and even pass it on to friends.

Thanks and remain Blessed,

Sandra Kaye,

Hello!! How are you today? I am good. Working very long hours lately, but that is just part of it.

I was listening to a jazz station out of San Diego this morning and I heard this voice singing "Is You Is or Is You Ain't" and I thought to myself- "that sounds like Sandra Kaye". I clicked over and found that it was Dinah Washington!!! I laughed to myself and realized that I really miss hearing you sing. (I also laughed that I didn't know that it was Dinah Washington)

When you return home, will you be performing in the clubs like you have previously?

I hope that you are enjoying your time in China. But please remember, your fans at home love and miss you!!

Take care and let me hear from you!!

Love,
Sharron

Sandra,
Hello from the Palace Arts Center in Grapevine! Long time no see! You played for us in the Lancaster Theatre a couple of years ago and I'm wondering if I could interest you in a return performance. I still get requests for you - you and James Gilyard played and blew everyone away.
I am looking for dates in April 2008 - for Jazz Appreciation Month. Can you let me know what your availability looks like on Thursday the 24th and if you are booking that far out?
Thanks very much,
Elspeth

Hi Sandra,
Your husband came into the Jockey store in Williamsburg, IA where I am the store manager and we got to talking and he told me about his lovely and talented jazz singing wife! I asked him if you ever came to Iowa and he told me you were over seas and said the next time he came through he would bring me a CD! I am very excited to hear it!
I sung in a couple of bands in California when I was younger and loved singing blues and rock and always wanted to try jazz. But I think that would be something I would have to do in private! :)
Take care of yourself and God bless you and your family!

Jerone Roy (Revised) From October 2006

November 5, 2006

It's my pleasure to share my thoughts about this beautiful songbird, who goes by the name of,"Sandra Kaye". I first met her when she was performing with the late, Onzy Matthews and his Big Band Orchestra. The memory I cherish most of Sandra is when she performed at the Morton Myerson Symphony Hall For The Performing Arts here in Dallas, Texas. The Gala event for the evening was a unique opportunity for many stars to honor the life and legacy of Comer Cottrell (former founder/owner of the Proline Corp.). Although many stars turned out..including the late Johnny Taylor..the stage was reserved to be transformed with a touch of Paris by this great songstress. From the moment she hit the stage, the entire performance hall was magically transported to a European atmosphere, where we were all blessed to witness a performance suitable for the Queen of England. I will always remember the magnitude of grace and elegance she poured out all over the stage during her outstanding performance. It sure made me feel like a King that night and a very grateful one for the blessing of such a great memory. I love Sandra Kaye along with so many others and I'll always be very proud to share even a tiny space in her life. May God continue to bless her with much continued success.

Hi Lady,
When Paula and I attended your last DMA Atrium concert it was very
apparent that you have not neglected your craft.
That is the one thing that separates you from other singers in the area.
Other singers spend about 90% of their time on their careers and 10% on
their craft.
As an artist you have grown tremendously. When I first worked with
you-you were GREAT!
You are now SUPERB!

Sandra Kaye, I HAVE MISSED YOU!!! I'll bet you may not remember, but honey, I didn't forget! I even brought my Mom to see you when she wasn't even doing the club thing and it was one of her great moments before she died in 1993. Do we go back or what? You have a voice such as that of an angel, and you always have. I remember classics with you, like "Route 66", and my favorite song about a chair "Why should I give it away?" and "Sunday Kind of Love" and "Someone to Watch over Me" and some Nancy Wilson, Billie Holiday moments and others that would bring even men to tears and other women to shame! God has truly smiled on you! Please call me at 214-796-8830 and email me at randrconnect@yahoo.com.

The relaxing color of this website reminds me of the very first time I heard you sing. I was on lunch break in downtown Dallas, and I heard you singing at the Thanksgiving Tower. I was so touched by your talented art of vocal inspirations. I knew immediately that you are truly someone special. I'm still this very day, thanking God for smiling on me that day. I can defintiely testify that no matter where you're performing (locally, or internationally) your singing is admired by many. When visiting you in Japan, it was nice to see how your soothing voice was crystal clear to everyone attending your performances. In the words of a Japanese Geisha attending your show one night, "BRAVO!" Even thoough she was still learning to speak the English language, she definitely had a good ear for your ability to bring words to life. Sandra Kaye, don't ever stop singing. It's definitely your life's purpose. You've touched so many lives with your talent, "Thank God, for you!"

Love Always,
